What to Bring
Our climate is subtropical with high humidity in the summer months. The temperature is pleasant year round, although chilly nights are frequent in winter (June, July and August). We have rainy season in January, February and March so pack your rain gear if you’re coming then. It’s not unusual to have 3-4 days without seeing the sun during this time. See the weather forecast for our area here.
Bring
What to bring in your suitcase:
- Comfortable clothes which permit movement. We prefer natural fibers like cotton, hemp that allow the skin to breathe. For yoga classes, avoid belts, large buttons, and jeans.
- Water bottle with name (stainless steel is recommended). All the water in our center is spring fed and drinkable.
- Notebook and pens, pencils.
- Shoes for light hiking.
- Flip flops.
- Bathrobe (light material) is recommended for those using the clinic to move between treatment rooms. This item is optional.
- Umbrella and rain poncho for rainy season.
- We recommend that international guests rent bed gear. Availability is based on demand and not guaranteed for last minute reservations. We do not offer pillows. We are willing to purchase a pillow for you with enough advance notice.
- There are small individual metal lockers available for personal items. We recommend bringing a padlock if you plan to use one.
- Sun screen, sunglasses, and sunhats are in order. Bathing suits for summer guests.
- Books and magazines to read in your free time.
