About The Space
Where We Are
We are located nearly 7 kilometers from the North end of São Paulo, Brazil in a region called Serra da Cantareira. It is located on the outskirts of the city, which is one of the biggest urban centers in the world, in what is considered the largest urban forest in the world.
At an altitude of between 600 to 1200 meters, this region belongs to one of the most fascinating ecosystems on the planet called the Mata Atlântica. (It’s noteworthy to mention that Mata in Portuguese means Mother, the Mother Forest). Among the native flora we find a rich variety of trees, ferns and other plants with year round flowers. Among the diverse fauna we find: cougar, ocelot, howler monkey, loth, pampas deer, squirrel, coatis, toucan, white-necked hawk, collared peccary, rusty-margined guan, great tinamou, and the black-crowned dwarf marmoset.
In 1994 this region was recognized by UNESCO as part of the Biosphere Reserve of the Green Belt surrounding the City of São Paulo.
Our Centre
Our facilities are rustic, simple and majestically surrounded by the prana of the Mata Atlantica, native wildlife, and silence.
Preserving nature and living sustainably form the basis for our ethics and values and we strive to maintain our day to day activities in alignment with these values.
